Jotter: Overview β
Ergberg's jotter covers technical topics I've dealt with while creating ergberg.tk. Ergberg.tk is my technical playground where I try out and practice technologies I am not yet familiar with.
What to Expect β
What I've jotted down in this jotter are reminders to myself. If you don't give a jot (pun intended π), that's fine with me. This is a non-commercial site that serves as a private exercise area for proofs of concept and technical trials.
β οΈ Not tested on all devices
ergberg.tk requires visitors to use a modern browser. Strange issues or broken functionality are most likely because I haven't tested the site on a device like yours. Please drop me a note so I can try to fix it.
Where to Start β
- The main story is a description of the basics topics I had to address while building up the site. So Basics provides the high-level entry point to that venture.
- Another section is dedicated to the various Site Functions I added to the site over time.
- There is a place for bits & pieces that don't really fit into the other categories. This chapter is called Stray Pieces.
- Finally, terms, names, and acronyms that pop up throughout the jottings deserve an entry in the Glossary.
Find Your Way β
The jotter is mainly a disjointed collection of various topics. The structure in the sidebar will help you identify each topic.
You can also use the Topic Map (Β ctrl - m orΒ the Topic Map link in the upper right corner of each page) to see what other topics are closely related to the current topic.
There is also a Search function ( ctrl - k ) if you want to do a full text search and find jottings by keyword.
I plan to update this jotter rather infrequently. I will note major changes in the Changelog.
Actuality β
I realize that most technical information is quite short-lived by nature. However, I am confident that I will find a way to keep the pages up to date, or at least identify and delete outdated information. Currently, I am incorporating tests into the markup of the pages to verify conditions that were true at the time of writing, but may change and erode over time. See the section on Consistency Checks for more details.
